Invasive Species Team

Populations of Water Chestnut, Yellow Floating-Heart, and European Frogbit are on the rise in Otsego County, and OCCA needs your help. This summer, we are collaborating with groups of volunteers, other organizations, clubs, and associations to help pull these invasive species out of our local waterbodies. OCCA will help train you or your group to identify and safely dispose of invasive plants. We encourage those trained to commit to protect a specific site throughout the summer.

Spend quality time with your community, have fun in the water, and protect the environment all at the same time!
